Husband Tag

1. Where did you meet your husband? 

We knew eachother from youth dances while we were in high school, but never really talked then.  It was on December 17, 2006 at a YSA fireside that we started talking the parking lot and then went to a friends house.  I gave him my phone number and later that week one of my friends had a game night at her house and we car flirted on the way home.  The rest is pretty much history

2. How long did you date? 

We got engaged on may 19 and got married on August 18, 2007.  We still date though!

 3. How long have you been married? 

About 16 months

 4. What does he do that surprises you? 

Hmmm...not a whole lot of things that he does surprises me.  Actually I think he does little things that I have a hard time noticing, so for that I am greatful!

5. What is your favorite feature of his? 

 Physical features...I love the color of his eyes and all of his face (especially when he is clean shaven)

 6. What is his best quality? 

He is such a fun guy.  He has a great sense of humor and he is a fun Daddy! 

7. Does he have a nick name for you? 

Not really.  Sometimes he tries to make some that are just off the wall to me!

 8. What is his favorite food? 

He says whatever and that he doesn't really have a favorite.  I know he likes pumpkin Chiffon pie and also that apple pie from Costco 

9. What is his favorite sport? 

He doesn't really have a favorite sport to play, but he does enjoy watching Jazz Basketball 

10. When and where was your first kiss? 

Well, he would tell you that I kissed him first, but that is not true.  It was New Years Eve 2006/07 and we went to a party at my Relief Society President's house.  We were talking outside and we hugged and my head was apparently tilted up and he just leaned in for the kill. 

11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? 

I like spending time with him after Will is in bed and Roxy is asleep on the floor.  We watch movies, talk and just cuddle! 

12. Do you have children? 

Just 1.  Will! 

13. Does he have hidden talents?

 14. How old is he? 

22 and turning 23 in March 

15. Who said I love you first? 

I think we both said it at the same time.  Not sure though.

 16. His favorite music? Most any kind.  I know he likes a lot of county songs, but mostly he listens to Sports Talk Radio

 17. What do you admire most about him? 

He is a good father.  He works hard to provide for our family and is always trying to make me happy.  He is a strong man and he tries to see the positive side of things. 

18. What is his favorite color? 

I don't think that he really has one.

 19. Will he read this? 

Probabally next time he is online.

Little Lineman

So we took Will to the doctor yesterday.  He weighed in at a whopping 19 lbs 4 oz and was measured at 27 inches long.  His head was 44 cm around and he is all in proportion.  He also had his 4 month shots.  He only had to get 2, and the first one didn't really affect him at all.  He just kept playing with his toys and then came the second shot.  He didn't even look at me.  He just teared up and started crying.  The nurse said that the second shot usually tends to sting a little and I think that is why the big guy got so upset.  He really was a trooper and is back to himself now!

A weekend away

We had a fun weekend in California.  We went to my grandma's house to make tamales and visit with family and it was SOOOO fun!  It was Will's first time meeting his Gran-nanny and he just loved her right away.  It was so fun to see him just smile and laugh with her everytime that the two got together.

We made a lot of tamales and then went to Tehachapi for church the following day before going to Bakersfield to visit at Gran and Grandpa's house.  It was fun to see them play with her.  While we were there, Ernie's aunt, Joyce was there and Will fell right in love with her too.  It must be something about the older people because Will just loves to be around them.

We came home on Tuesday night and it sure was nice to be back home and in our own beds.  Will slept until 4 which was a lot better than while we were gone and he was up every 2 hours.  Last night was nice again too.  We are happy to be home and back into the routine that we had before.  One new thing that is going on, is that Will is trying to sit up on his own.  This morning I sat him on the couch with a pillow under his head.  He tried leaning forward and when I held his hands, he sat up and was able to support himself without help from mommy.  He has his 4 month Dr. appt and we are not looking forward to the shots, but it will be nice to see how much the little guy is growing!

Camera Happy

So as everyone knows, I get camera happy with Will all the time.  Yesterday was one of those days as well as this morning.  I was packing Will's clothes for our trip to California this weekend and he was getting fussy on the floor so I tried putting him in his little saucer.  He loved it so much!  He had fun reaching for all of the toys and almost standing up.  

He was also rolling around the floor this morning, but once I got the camera out, he decided not to roll anymore

Lastly, I think Will wanted to help with the lights.

festival of trees

Hey the big guy likes taking pictures!  Yesterday I got camera happy and just had fun.  I put Will ina cute shirt that said "Little Lineman" that was size 6-12 months.  He filled it out well if you can't tell by the pictures.

Suzi and I went to the festival of trees at the sandy expo center and it was just so cool! Tons and tons of creative christmas trees and decorations. There were so many innovative and well put together trees like the one that was made entirely out of blown glass.  There were glass flowers and glass gift boxes and all sorts of cool things .

When we were all done at the Festival, Will was wiped out.  He fell asleep in his stoller and I couldn't help but take this fun little picture.

What 
a weekend!  My little guy went to his first Jazz game and it really took him a while to start having fun.  He cried and cried for almost the whole first quarter before Jami took him out and he took a little nap.  We then went to the Huntsman suite to watch the second half of the game and Will seemed to be a lot happier then. 

In the middle of the night I got up and checked on Will because it sounded like he was crying, but it wasn't very loud and sure enough, he was screaming but his voice was really hoarse.  I proceeded to do all that I could to try and take care of the little guy including using saline in his nose, getting all the congestion out of his nose, filling up and turning on his humidifier, feeding him, changing him, checking his nose again, giving him a dose of Tylenol, and getting him to sleep.   I stayed by him for about another 20 minutes to make sure that he was sleeping ok before saying a prayer that he would be ok for the time and then going to bed.  In total, I was up from around 1:30 to about 3.  He just seemed to have a hard time breathing with all of the congestion in his chest.  I took him to the doctor and she said that he had croup and an ear infection and another one possibly in the other ear.  My poor baby was so cranky and unhappy, but now he is sounding so much better.  He isn't hoarse anymore, but he has been cranky still.  That should hopefully clear up in the next few days before the trip to california for tamale day!
