Long time...no posting!

I think that I am going to turn over a new leaf and try to blog regularly again, something I haven't done since Lilly was born. She is now 19 1/2 months old and Will is 3!!! Time sure has flown and I am grateful to be a stay at home mommy for these awesome kids.
We are anxiously awaiting Christmas this year. Will is beginning to understand Santa a little better and he is such a ham when we talk about him.
"I wanna go to the mall and see santa. I want to tell him what I want....but I don't wanna sit on his lap."
Thats been a regular quote out of that kids mouth.
Last night we had some good friends come over and make gingerbread houses - Lia and Aleki Olive. It was my first time making gingerbread from scratch and our house was falling apart, but we managed to piece it together with lots of icing and it is still holding today.
Lilly has been our little drama queen this week. She has been screaming over the littlest things and I hope she gets over that soon.

Weeks are flying by!

Will has officially reached the age where he likes to take his clothes off and run around without a diaper. He does it at least once a day and today he even took his diaper off while still wearing his clothes so that was fun!
Since Spencer started school a few weeks ago, I have been relying on help around the house from my little guy. He really gets into doing the laundry!

Will is almost always loving towards the baby. There are times when he just comes over and gives my belly a hug and kiss. He has been especailly cuddly with all of us. So cuddly, what he sometimes falls asleep.

Here is another example of how Will tries to help. He made a mess of the ads in the Sunday paper, so I asked him to put the papers in the garbage. Because we have a baby lock on the cabinet, this is what I came upon on my later trip to the kitchen.

Sundays are pretty good days for Will. He plays all moring and takes an early nap so he can wake up in time for church. He likes to dress up like daddy and get his hair done.

Sometimes when I go to take a picture, he will do his best to keep a straight face.

Will likes to be just like Mommy and Daddy. He is constantly climbing up onto the chairs so that he can sit at the table while mommy is working at the table.

We had our first adventure with paint a few weeks ago. Mommy made a frame for Jessy and had some left over so Will got to get his hands dirty and make a masterpiece!

While we were at my sister. Suzi's house, Will found a headband and wanted to look like Rambo, so here is his attempt.

Will doesn't get to see his Papa or his grandpa all that much, so when he does, he really enjoys it. We were at Kaylie's baptism last weekend and he spent most of the time with his Papa. I can't help but think that Papa liked his time with Will too!

Another fun filled few weeks!

Ok...I say it every time, but I am going to do better at blogging. I actually have a little bit of an excuse though. Last week this little monster sat down next to me while I was on the computer and threw a remote at the screen. It broke so we were left without a computer for a short while. Will has had so much fun just being a little boy! He has learned to climb on almost everything to get whatever he wants. That sometimes drives me CRAZY, but its fun to see what he does with the stuff he finds. He knows how sunglasses work and was trying to put them on like a big boy!

One thing that Will has always had a passion for and is now able to do better on his own is to play our piano. He learned how to climb on the bench and just start playing the keys the way that other people do it. Before we know it, hes going to be playing at recitals!
I have recently made a goal to take pictures of my belly growth in the same mirror. This was about a week and a half ago.

I was trying to orgnaize some of our seasonal decorations and box them up when I saw Will push one of the buckets to the middle of the room and start putting on a show. Roxy came on by and stole a kiss.

So we ended up getting the pass to the children's museum and Will has loved it. He thinks he is such a big boy there and loves how everything is his size.

They have a section where little kids can put balls into tubes and watch the air pull them up and watch them go down other tubes.

until next time.....

Getting out of the house

I would like to begin the post with a little plate of cookies that I made the recipe for today. It was yummy!

Will has been really pushing his limits these days. Today is actually the first in a few days that I have not put him in time out. He has started to bite, throw things (especially sippys and tantrums), and just not listening. At first his time outs consisted of us having him face out and stay in one spot for about a minute. HHe thought that was a game, so we started facing him into the wall. He has NOT liked that. He cries and whines, but after a minute or so, we let him out and talk to him about why he is being punished. Hes usually ok for a while after that.

So Aly has been getting bored being cooped up in the house all the time, and we have an annual pass to the Living Planet Aquarium. At first Will was hesitant to touch the fish tanks, but after a few minutes, he just became fascinated with all the colors and fishies. We thought we would only be there for a short time, but he kept on going back to certain tanks and playing so an hour and a half later, we left.
So we needed a night out and decided to catch a movie and have Aly's nieces watch Will. When we came back, this was the picture we saw. He sure loves Jessie and Cammi!

Now this one makes me laugh. Spence was playing with Will and with the light behind his head, this made him look like a little angel. HA HA!

Childrens Museum

So yesterday I had a friend invite me to the Gateway Children's Museum for a few hours. If you haven't been there with your kids, I strongly recommend it. They have so much fun stuff there like a ball area where there are playplace like balls that kids put into tubes and watch them go from one point to another. Will had a blast with that. They also have a big water table where the kids can watch water move from a high point and see how it cycles itself. They had ping pong balls that float along with the flow of water through clear tubes and empty into little sink places. Will could have played there the entire time if I didn't distract him to another area. Everything there is kid sized and fun for the little ones!
So I finally took a quick belly shot of myself. Here it is.
Now that Will is getting older, he is trying to be very independent. He has been very good at sleeping in his big kid bed at night, through the night. I think we are on night 5 of sleeping all the way through by himself. He also likes to feed himself. Last night I just cut pieces of food for him and let him hold his fork and feed himself. He even lets us know when he really wants to eat. He just climbs right into his highchair without any help.

My little boy sleeping in his big kid bed for the first time yesterday. He only took a short nap, and when he went to bed, he was fine, it was a couple of hours later that it got difficult. His door wouldn't close all the way and he woke up and kept wandering out of his room. Wish us luck in the transition from crib to bed!!
