October is sneaking up on me!

Seems like just a few days ago it was August. I don't know where the times goes. This week was really fun but busy in the same ways too! Spence and Will decided it would be a fun idea to sit in Roxy's crate together before I decided to join them. That must be a Big crate because it held all of us and we were able to close the door. I like to think that is Roxy's room in the house.
Will is growing up!Spence finally convinced me to cut Will's hair. He is over a year old and I have had excuses all the time, but didn't have one this time. It was just a little trim off the back and sides so his little gerber curls are gone! I miss them, but enough people say he looks good. He doesn't look like my baby boy anymore...hes more like a little boy! He also passed up some of his cousins with how many teeth he has (finally!!!!). He managed to cut 2 more teeth bringing the count to 3. They are all on top too. I think hes gonna have super strong teeth!
This weekend was eventful. It started Friday night when we went t our niece, Jessie's softball game. It was fun. On Saturday, I went to Cammi's soccer game in Orem and Spence got to go to the BYU game in Provo and had a blast! He told me that he would like to get season tickets...we shall see! :) We also had the opportunity to got to Jessy's school to watch her annual play. This year they did Fiddler on the Roof. It was my first time seeing the show and the students did an GREAT job presenting it. Jess played the part of Grandma Zytel's ghost in a dream and she did AWESOME!!! THe part seemed like it was made for her with her facial expressions and voice. It was a lot of fun. Thats about it so until next time......

busy couple of weeks!

So I was looking at everyone elses blogs and realized that I missed a post last week. There have been a lot of things going on between both families, church callings and chasing after a one year old.
I think I will begin with this past weekend. We had family up for Spencer's grandpa's funeral. It was a hard day for the whole family, but we find a lot of joy in knowing that Bo is with Midder and the rest of his family that has passed on. There was a military gun salute at the graveside services and it was just amazing to see the respect that was there and the spirit was totally incredible.
Then throughout the week I was babysitting for a lady in my neighborhood. It was fun to see Will play with another little kid about his size.
While Jami and Ernie were in town, they brought some Sun Pacific FRESH grapes. They were soo tasty! Will really enjoyed snacking on them every chance he got. There was one point where I was getting something out of the fridge and Will took out a huge bunch and tried to eat the grapes all by himself.
Spence has been playing the piano a little more too. Will just loves to hear the music that daddy makes on the piano and shows his appreciation by dancing around, bobbing his head, or just cuddling up to daddy's leg.
We realized this past week how much we still need to do to keep our house in somewhat of order. We have a pantry in our kitchen and Will can now open it and take all of the cans out and drop them on the floor.
I made cookies yesterday and Will just loved them. Whenever someone picked one up, he would walk right up to them and expect them to share. We took them over to Matt and Ron's house for the football game and Will just loved how the cookies were within reach.

On our last note, our garden has been booming with tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini, and a TON of Jalapenos.

August flew by

Hard to believe another month has just flown by. We had a good week. Spence started school for the new semester and we are hoping for the best!

As always Will had a good week of growing. Still no teeth yet so he has had his moments.We had the ward campout just past Kamas, UT up in the mountains. It was a nice place and we got there late and left after breakfst, but we made some fun little memories out of it.

For this being our second time camping with Will, he did better than the last time. He slept most of the night and enjoyed playing in the dirt and green stuff.
I am pretty sure this is one of my favorite pictures. Shows just how much Will loves his daddy and how they both like camping.

weekend update

Well this past week has been a fun one. We celebrated our 2 year anniversary by getting a hotel room downtown and having Jami watch Will for the night. The next day we spent time at the temple and downtown. Afterwards, we went to the aquarium as a family. We had fun and Will just watched all the little fishies in their tanks. There is one spot where they have a little photo canoe and so we hopped in as a family. When we told will to say "cheese" he just smiled and scrunched his face up (like in the picture)
Then the other day I was sitting on the couch and looked over at Will to see him pulling every unused diaper out of the basket, opening them up and leaving them in a pile on the floor. I guess I shouldd just be grateful that they were unused!This morning Will was his usual self and was caught making faces for the camera. He does this thing were he closes his eyes, tilts his head down, opens his eyes and looks at you with an expression saying "you're strange". I caught him mid-blink in this picture but he looks like hes sleeping.
Yesterday we were playing outside. Will kept on wandering toward the neighbor's driveway (there is a little drop from our yard to there) and I got up to try to get him before he fell, but being the little mischievous monster that he is, he tried to run away from me and greeted the sidewalk with his face. He was just fine, but he seems to be a typical little boy by getting hurt.
So last night Spencer brought me some beautiful flowers. They really made my day! There are yellow gerber daisies with red-orange tips and roses in the same shade.
Now the past couple of days have been pretty dang hot, so to cool off, Will and I have been going outside to play with the hose. Roxy really likes it when Will shares the water for her to drink.
Will has just loved being outside! He helps me water the vegetable garden and then cools/cleans my feet off with the hose. He doesn't even mind splashing the water on himself!

Big Birthday Boy!

I know that I have not been the best blogger, but I am making a resolution to do better!
This little guy has been having so much fun with bathtime. He has developed an appetite for rubber duckies!
Now I know that I am not the most attractive person in the picture above, but I have my reasons. I had just finished the pioneer day 10k and I was totally beat!
Las month Will took a tumble in church. He got a goose-egg on his head immediately after, but didn't cry once we gave him his binky. If you look closely, you can still see his little battle scar.
We were out shopping for food at Costco and found ourselves surrounded by watermelons and Will just had a ball!
So I think that since Will has been growing, he just gets so tired and crashes wherever, the floor, his highchair, wherever.He just couldn't stay awake!
This picture show just how big the little guy is getting. He measured in at 30 3/4 inches at his dr appointment and 26 lbs 2 oz. My little linebacker!
I just thought this was a cute little picture that really shows his personality.

We had a little birthday party for Will last Friday. He had a hard time at first, teething and all, but once the tylenol kicked in, he was back to the happy boy we know and love.
Now I am not totally sure, but I think this kid liked his cake!

I know this looks kinda gross but Will was having fun feeding himself yet again. He Had cereal, berries and spinach all over his tray and little body.
This morning I gave Will little pretzel stick. He was being cute so I took a picture of the cute kid. He has been into everything these days. I even turned my cell phone off and let him play with it last night. He managed to turn it on and save some entries for *gfdrk and other odd names. What am I going to do with that kid.
Will is also cruising on furniture, cabinets, mom and dads legs, and everything. He does this thing where he picks up whatever he can (binkies, bottles, dvds, newspapers, etc) and throws them over his baby gate, down the stairs to the basement. He likes to see what happens when he does something.
A while back we went to the Hogle Zoo. Will did ok, but it was a first time for both Mommy and Will. We wanted to see how the big guy measured up to, I think it was an orangutang or some kind of ape. Still got a ways to go.
